Vulnerabilities…

This blog entry hopefully will be a very rare one, but I wanted to give our followers a glimpse of who we are… What we are doing… What we have been through… and most of all, where we are headed.

We have put a lot of thought into our business launch because of the circumstances we have come from, and also as a result of the years we have been in this industry, sub-contracting under others.

We love – PASSIONATELY love – our job. We feel honored… privileged… humbled… to have gifts like this and to be able to make a living at it. We quite literally have the overwhelming and unique career in which we get to make hundreds of people a day smile. We are always thankful, and do our best to give back with our talents, time, emotions, and friendship to others we meet.

Regardless of what some may say, it is our goal to operate an ethical, honest, honorable business that serves our families and brings smiles to others. I think sticking to those professional goals can be a challenge when we also want to run a successful business. We made the choice before we ever started planning our business and how our company would work to serve God through our work, no matter what, to take the high road, and to make good choices. We had no idea how much of a challenge that would be at times.

There will never be any names named, any fingers pointed, or any mud slung. We will never lower ourselves to a catty level, and refuse to talk publicly about any other entertainers in a negative way. There are some of you who know what I am making reference to and some that may not, but all of this being said, there also comes a time in the life of a business when their reputation is worth defending. This is that time.

My name is Kristi, and I am the Co-owner that does most of the babbling on here about this and that. My business partner and mother, Shelly Gehrt, is one of the best women I know. She is honest to a fault, has a genuine concern for others, and would do anything for anyone. She has been horribly accused of things she would never dream of. I want to use this as an opportunity to make it abundantly clear that Wild Style as a company, and us as individuals, are committed to operating in a way that is pleasing to our Maker. ALWAYS!

We ask of our friends, family, and fans that you understand this and know the truth in your heart if you are one of the unfortunate that get to experience the poisoned words of others about our character. We ask that if you feel so led, you will be free to defend us to those that matter and know the truth when those that don’t cross your path.

Now that is out of my system, and I have no other choice but to move on. I am called, in whatever I may do, to “suit up” in the full Armor my God has for me, and be an example of what I know is right. There is one person that Wild Style Designers answer to when it comes to the way we run our business and behave in our lives. There is One who we serve.

I wish all of my family, friends, and friends-to-be a wonderful weekend, and encourage you to know the difference between lowering yourselves to the level of another, and defending your character so that you are represented correctly…

I can’t wait to see you all soon, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts with humility and gratitude for your love and support.

Kristi (and Shelly)
